This is such a treat! The So What jazz club at Yonsei University performing my song “The Mystery” in concert on Sunday, March 22. The vocalist, Emily Kim, contacted me to get the lyrics. I was flabbergasted that someone in Korea wanted to perform my song! I asked her how she came to hear my song. Apparently a music teacher there was using it as a lesson at a music school there.

How did this teacher get to know it? I don’t know for sure, but when I made the CD “Do That!” in 1999, I had received the boxes of the CDs on an afternoon, and a mother was dropping off her child for a piano lesson. I managed to talk her into - reluctantly - buying a CD that day. That was the first CD sold. The woman and child were Korean, and within a year she told me that they were moving back to Korea. I remember it because it was the first sale!

I don’t know for sure if that is the connection, but it is the most plausible scenario.

Other bands are performing before the So What club. The performance starts at 46:05. They closed the show with my tune!

Some may want to moralize, or they will rationalize, or will hypothesize or sentimentalize but will they realize they didn't get it

Try to be inquisitive or just contemplative thinking in positive and never negative

give in and just let live maybe we'll get it
